Final energy consumption in transport by type of fuel

Final energy consumption in transport covers the energy consumption of the following transport modes: road transport (cars, buses, trucks, etc), rail transport (trains, metro, trams, etc.), domestic aviation, domestic navigation and pipeline transport. Quantities delivered to international aviation and international marine bunkers are excluded from the final energy consumption. Energy used at airports, train stations, ports and bus stations is excluded from transport and included in the service sector. Off road use in agriculture and forestry is excluded from transport and included in the final energy consumption of agriculture and forestry. Fuel used in ships for fishing is excluded from transport and included in in the final energy consumption of the fishing sector.
